Today in spotlight is Indians for Collective Action, oldest south asian non-profit in bay area that nurtures social activists, spawned numerous initiatives including Asha for Education and Foundation for Excellence, and supported innovative community-led development projects in over 20 states of India and disbursing over $5.0 million .

Today in spotlight is The 1947 Partition Archive, a non-profit organization dedicated to documenting, preserving and sharing eye witness accounts from all communities affected by the South Asian independence movement and the Partition of British India in 1947 through oral history collection.

Today in spotlight is Home of Hope, Inc., a non-profit committed to the cause of children. A destitute orphan child, through no fault of his own, is one who is not receiving the basic necessities of life - food, clothing, shelter, and education. This is the kind of child Home of Hope wants to give hope to.

Today in spotlight is Akshya Patra Foundation a non-profit with the vision that “No child in India shall be deprived of education because of hunger."

Today in spotlight is Spandana Foundation a non-profit intending to create the vibrations of social service among the Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and motivate them to support and execute socially responsible projects in our motherland. In other words, Spandana is a platform to facilitate socially responsible projects on behalf of our members in our motherland.

Today in spotlight is Sankara Eye FOundation (SEF), whose vision is to eradicate curable blindness in India by the year 2020.
They initiate and drive community eye care activities in India by working with eye care organisations such as Sankara Eye Care Institutions, which runs the Sankara Eye Hospital in Coimbatore.
The majority of our fundraising effort is achieved through fundraising events, booths in major events, advertising and working with major donors.

In spotlight today is Jeena, a non-profit organization in bay area dedicated to improving the quality of life of parents and children with developmental disorders. Founded in April 2000, it aims to provide support services and education to children and their families.

In spotlight today is Maitri, a non-profit organization in bay area helping South Asian women (and now men) in situations of domestic abuse, cultural displacement, or unresolved conflict.

They run support groups for survivors of abuse as well as people still in abusive relationships seeking a safe place to explore their feelings and operate a transitional home, an six bed facility for women (and their children) who have left abusive relationships and are on their way to rebuilding their lives.
