Shweta Teckchandani may be born and raised in India, but after residing in the Bay Area for a while now, she believes she is home away from home. The young lady was recently crowned Miss India Global and while modeling is her passion, her career path lies in medicine. When she’s not running around hospitals completing her rotations, she is out and about representing the Bay Area Indian community. After graduating from Berkeley, Sandeep Sood began his own software development firm, Monsoon Company, which caters to clients including HP, Microsoft, Cisco and Wells Fargo. However, besides doing what most Desi’s in the Bay Area prefer to be a part of (read: software in all facets), he also founded Badmash.tv, an animation studio. Over time, his animations have gained an immense fan following as he tackles a number of social, ethical, political and modern day issues in an animated-satire form. Each of his cartoons are based on or catered to Desi’s. ACK!

Anu Peshawaria happens to be sister to Top Cop Kiran Bedi, but the ace lawyer has managed to create a brand of her own here in the Bay Area. But besides tackling law, Anu has proved herself to be a prominent social figure in the area. She has single-handedly founded SevA, an organization dedicated to battered and abandoned Indian from India who find themselves isolated in the Bay Area.
