Sanskriti Music and Dance Festival 2012

Sanskriti, a bay area non-profit, community facing, cultural organization is devoted to the cultural nourishment of the community.Through its Music and dance Festival, Sanskriti took a holistic approach to bring the classical and pure music closer to the community. During this event modeled on a music and dance conference, music lovers will not only see maestros performing, but they will also see them demonstrating their art in the purest form. Our patrons will get to know about the performers through documentary films and interviews, will be exposed to the music of other parts of the world, and will see how true music can easily transcend any geographic or language barrier.

With this broader goal in mind, this festival will feature music recital, dance recital, discussion by ethno-musicologists, interview with musicians, documentary film, and music from various other parts of the world. Recitals will be performed by Maestros, professional performers, teachers as well as students at various levels.

In a nutshell, a grand conference style event is planned which, we are sure, will be able to connect musical aficionados from all walks of life on a single platform.
