Bollywood Berkeley 2012

BOLLYWOOD BERKELEY 2012 IS FINALLY HERE ONCE AGAIN! Get pumped for the LARGEST intercollegiate Hindi Film Dance competition in the entire nation!

Bollywood Berkeley, now in its 11th year, showcases not only the artistic and technical features of Bollywood dancing and the incredible talent of the top teams from around the nation, but also the dazzling costumes and enthralling scenery typical of Bollywood films and dances. Last year Bollywood Berkeley continued its success by hosting a sold out audience of over 2,000 people, and this year we are expanding to 3,000! Eight teams representing different universities compete for 5,000 tdollars in cash and prizes. Furthermore, this year Bollywood Berkeley will be providing a bid to both Bollywood America AND Best of the Best to its 1st place winner, giving them the opportunity to prove themselves as the premier dance team in the United States.

Transportation Options:
Public:The Paramount Theatre is 500 feet from the Bart Station. Take the stairs up from the station, and walk NORTH to Brodway toward 21st street. For routing information, select the "19 Street Oakland" stop on the Bart Trip Planner. AC Transit 1 - towards Bayfair Bart Station goes directly around the corner of the theatre.

Doors open at 5:00 and show starts at 6PM SHARP.

Something to note:
1) There are some fees for buying tickets through ticketmaster. However, to make it more convenient, aside from the ticketmaster website, anyone can purchase tickets at ANY ticketmaster kiosk around the country.

2) To AVOID PAYING TICKETMASTER FEES anyone can physically go into the Paramount Theatre in Oakland (paramounttheatre.com) and purchase their tickets there. You will receive your tickets and save some money!

3) For people in the Bay Area, we will try to sell some tickets on Sproul Plaza on the UC Berkeley campus. There will be a very limited amount so come buy fast! Tickets for Bollywood Berkeley go on sale ON SPROUL starting THIS MONDAY 11/23 thru FRIDAY 11/27 and continue into next week!

We have a limited amount of Balcony tickets left for $20, and everybody else that wants Orchestra tickets can buy tickets from us with an additional $2 fee that will go to the Ticketmaster still. ($27)

After we run out of Balcony consignment tickets ALL TICKETS WILL HAVE AN ADDITIONAL $2 fee! (22, 27)

Whoever has already given us money will get their tickets with no additional charge and MAY pick up their tickets Tomorrow!

Stardust: The Official Bollywood Berkeley Afterparty will include the Bay Area's very own DJ Sanjoy and will take place after the event. Stay tuned for more information.
