Creative Requirements

All the ads on the site must conform to the following ad spec. These guidelines have been derived so that your ads achieve the best results

Formats Accepted

●      Various Ad Sizes - for available sizes visit http://bayareadesi.com/advertise/adsize

●      GIF or JPEG less than 40 KB in size.

●      Flash (version 8 or earlier) 100 KB for initial load, 1 MB for subsequent load, 2 MB for subsequent load if streaming. 30% extra cost for all flash ads on regular price.

●      HTML or JavaScript ad serving codes – Requires minimum 1 yr commitment.

Requirements and Restrictions

●      Animation and video must be less than 15 seconds or user initiated. No looping.

●      Animated creative should NOT loop continuously.

●      Sound must be user initiated.

●      Please deliver required assets two business days before your campaign’s start date.

●      Please allow two business days for alterations.

Additional Requirements for HTML or JavaScript Creatives

HTML or JavaScript creatives must:

●      Allow for third party click tracking using a click macro or URL proxy.

●      Serve creatives meeting the same Requirements and Restrictions previously outlined.

●      Not display images or text outside of the ad slot boundary. This includes popup windows.

●      Login information for third party for tracking delivery

Additional Requirements for Flash Creatives

Flash creatives must:

●      Use Flash version 8 or earlier.

●      Use _blank as the target for all links.

●      Use Action Script version 2.0.

●      File size must be below 40KB in size

Please provide a backup GIF or JPEG creative for the small amount of users with Flash disabled.
